Elul could have made it all square after 15 minutes, if only his free kick had been a few inches to the other side of the post. D. Cornberg was struggling to make the ball dance with his usual trickery and panache, and the opposing players had little trouble shutting him down in these muddy conditions. D. Cornberg of GACAPO was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. With 35 minutes played, GACAPO put themselves up 2 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to O. Forte, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. 2 - 0 was the score after the first half. Blutgraetsche enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 55 percent of possession.

After 54 minutes, Blutgraetsche switched G. Aymie with S. Fesl, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. A. Elul was handed the Blutgraetsche captain's armband. Against a lesser team, GACAPO could very well have succeeded with their smart indirect free kick routine after 57 minutes. A trio of passes took the ball all the way past the defenders, but by then the intended recipient was already blocked off and the keeper could make a leisurely save. M. Schönfels could've grabbed a goal for Blutgraetsche 60 minutes in when he got a pass from the left putting him free of the home side's defence, but he was unable to take advantage of the situation. 66 minutes into the game, the referee ruled a penalty for Blutgraetsche. Unfortunately, A. Elul shot wide of the mark. Ater 71 minutes P. Zopper seized on an opportunistic attack from the right, and scored for Blutgraetsche making it 2 - 1. With 75 minutes played, the Blutgraetsche coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. S. Hansen came on, M. Schönfels had to leave the fray. Blutgraetsche needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 77 minutes R. Hornbostel made way for M. Brothanek. Possession in this half belonged to Blutgraetsche, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.

The most dominating GACAPO player was without a doubt O. Forte. G. Rökker was a disappointment, however. Blutgraetsche's best player was P. Englschalking. However, F. Jaunegg made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 1.
