With the clock showing 20 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of Profi resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by H. Veenman in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. A scuffle developed as players from both sides clashed following a tussle in the centre of the field 30 minutes into the match. After regaining order and consulting his linesman, the referee called Kniebel's C. Robu to one side and produced a red card for the player. 31 minutes into the game, G. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Profi lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. The home team's fans were upset when, after 85 minutes, the visiting G. Schupan broke through the central defence and kicked the ball past the keeper. 2 - 1 was the score. Kniebel's G. Schupan got himself booked for a foul. Due to a severely mistimed tackle, S. Glatzl of Profi spent some time on the grass writhing in agony before he could get up and continue the game. 87 minutes in, Profi's S.
