Good work by the Krawallschlümpfe defensive line after 24 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found M. Hegi alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide. After 39 minutes Krawallschlümpfe's L. Muralt limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. With the clock showing 42 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of Schanzer resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by R. Grevet in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. The referee signaled a penalty for the home side after 43 minutes, amid vocal protests from the visitors.
