Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 20000 at
Tempel der Roten Löwen today.
Huibert Jennen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Leendert van Tent Beking and
Konrad Breissler.
Schanzer decided to use a 5-4-1 set up.
The following players had been chosen: Häggblad - Dettori, Tamsamani, Feldmoching, Istorp, Walldürn - Selell, Augsten, Hunter, Grevet - Szűcs.
Krawallschlümpfe tactics involved an interesting 5-3-2 combination.

A crazy pass by
E. Zwicklinsky towards his own keeper almost caused a goal for Schanzer, but
M. Selell didn't get the finish right.
Good work by the Krawallschlümpfe defensive line after 24 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found
M. Hegi alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide.
After 39 minutes Krawallschlümpfe's
L. Muralt limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue.
With the clock showing 42 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of Schanzer resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by
R. Grevet in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high.
The referee signaled a penalty for the home side after 43 minutes, amid vocal protests from the visitors. Schanzer fans erupted in celebration as
V. Hunter rifled the ball into the the top corner. 1 - 0!
It was 1 - 0 at the break.
Schanzer enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.
A counterattack by Krawallschlümpfe after 56 minutes could have resulted in a goal, but
M. Jamšek, coming in on the left, couldn't get the shot off.
The bench was restless, and with 60 minutes passed Krawallschlümpfe's coach gave
J. Mattila the opportunity the player had been hoping for.
T. Narusk reluctantly left the field.
The Krawallschlümpfe coach was desperate to reverse his team's fortunes in the game, and ordered his team to change strategy.
