Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 14404 at Greifennest today. Jacob Hedeboe was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Lauri Kuusisaari and Samuel Rondón. A 5-2-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Greif. Starters: Meyer-Heegen - Haffner, Burdet, Klasovský, Bujwid, Zapletal - Gandolfi, Scheel - Liljenkvist, Hippe, Baptista Martins.

Pauli2010 started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players took the field: Radaelli - Bosé, Melstvedt, Kaltenkirchen - Viudo, Glotz, Babür, Diergardt, Cabanillas - Vladić, Ognjenović.

Greif clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. 0 - 1 was the score with 9 minutes played, after M. Ognjenović cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for Pauli2010. With 15 minutes played, F. Diergardt nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. Coming in from the right, Greif had a good opportunity to convert on a counterattack after 16 minutes, but D. Baptista Martins's attempt to finish was easily stopped. M. Burdet made a superb strike after 34 minutes with a shot straight in front of the goal after a long ball through the middle, but one of the visitors' defenders got a foot in at the last second and warded it off for a corner. After 35 minutes, Pauli2010 felt secure enough to make a tactical change. M. Ognjenović and L. Vladić assumed each others positions on the field. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave L. Cabanillas from Pauli2010 a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 37 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! It was 0 - 1 at the break. Pauli2010 claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 63 percent.

After 60 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for L. Vladić who increased Pauli2010's lead to 0 - 2. While defending the Pauli2010 lead, M. Ognjenović got a new role. 69 minutes in the game, his coach ordered him to change positions with L. Vladić. M. Ognjenović wanted to play on, but the Pauli2010 coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 75 minutes into the game by J. Mateos. Pauli2010's J. Mateos was shown a yellow card after 79 minutes for slicing down an opponent. J. Haffner of Greif had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game. D. Wolzogen came in to finish the match. After 81 minutes, Pauli2010's R. Viudo burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 3. The referee showed Greif's D. Wolzogen the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. J. Mateos was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Pauli2010's N. Armitage had to come off the bench. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Pauli2010, with 62 percent of the ball.

D. Baptista Martins performed admirably for Greif. D. Wolzogen turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating Pauli2010 player was without a doubt L. Vladić. N. Armitage on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 3.
