Antasdeulla swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. capitols's C. Nidderau increased the lead to 2 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 31 minutes. capitols's S. Ludwik got himself booked for a foul. 2 - 0 was the score after the first half. capitols claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 74 percent.

After 58 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by N. Antasdeulla might have resulted in another goal for capitols. However, J. Beltrán made a spectacular save. F. Deters of Fronti received a yellow card after 66 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. The coach of capitols was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 81 minutes, R. Weinhart came on for T. Birkl. In a rapid move 84 minutes into the match, D. Jovanović of capitols lost his man and passed the ball to the unmarked N. Antasdeulla who easily hit it home to make it 3 - 0. Luckily the ref didn't see him taunting the opposing fans in celebration - naughty boy! By now, the players in capitols felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of capitols to 4 - 0 as D. Jovanović finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. Possession in this half belonged to capitols, who controlled the ball 74 percent of the time.

The most dominating capitols player was without a doubt G. Hiermannsperger. D. Jovanović was a disappointment, however. Fronti's best player was P. Brouwer. A. Allert turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 4 - 0.
