previous 3/10 next 5/10  Soccer 0 - 4 Heiligenhafen (384595998)

7725 spectators arrived at Super Soccer Arena, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Thomas Törnlind was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Giovanni Scrobe and Vito Termali. A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Soccer. Lineup: Altıniz - Sturtzel, Rambone, Agalliu, Etminan - Vlădescu, Meuer, Dampfpfeife, Seimel - Potschkat, Özad.

Heiligenhafen had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Starters: Sbardella - Neto, Farhad, Omarini - Goeßling, Patris, Jaamalainen, Paukkunen, Pauling - Duelund, Lázaro.

Soccer used their skill at pressing to cut off the attack angles of their opponents all over the field. G. Omarini's lack of experience almost gave Soccer a goal after 2 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms. After 15 minutes, Heiligenhafen's G. Lázaro made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. Soccer's ability to press all over the field frequently paid dividends. G. Lázaro increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 2. Heiligenhafen had to make a substitution after 32 minutes. A. Duelund limped off the field and was replaced by M. Dirnhofer. Heiligenhafen increased their lead after 33 minutes when M. Neto broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 3, much to the home crowd's dismay. What was M. Paukkunen thinking? That's what everyone wondered when, for no apparent reason, he shot a cross pass over his own penalty area, giving Ö. Özad an extra chance, but unfortunately for Soccer, he didn't get the shot right. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 3. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Heiligenhafen, with 62 percent of the ball.

Soccer needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 54 minutes M. Sturtzel made way for L. Frey. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Soccer's Ö. Özad was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 63 minutes. E. Durango was given a chance to change things around. The home crowd was not impressed when G. Omarini came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 70 minutes. Heiligenhafen were now up 0 - 4. Soccer pressed their opponents, causing the game to be a bit of a stalemate at times. Possession in this half belonged to Heiligenhafen, who controlled the ball 61 percent of the time.

Soccer's top performer was clearly M. Potschkat. On the other hand, M. Altıniz's play was disheartening. Heiligenhafen's best player was L. Jaamalainen. J. Farhad turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 4.
