Reiseverkehr 0 - 2 Kirchheim
(384689690)

11-08-2012 18.50
It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 10360 that came out to
Zug-um-Zug-Arena.
Johan Larsson was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Jonathan Thompson and
Ferdinando Venneri.
Reiseverkehr tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination.
Starters: Kloeden - Bischopf, Brendgen, Gmeinder, Stroißmüller - Speigner, Arnold-Egger, Tilsner, Semeshkin - Schiffermüller, Urbanski.
Kirchheim decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.
The following players had been chosen: Intra - Ilgazer, Boeswart, Kaproń, Temps - Güntöre, Göcker, Arnhold, Andric - Lečić, Zeven.
Kirchheim's
R. Kaproń could have put the guests one up after 4 minutes after chasing a through ball from the right, but
E. Kloeden was as fast as a snake, grabbing the ball from under his nose.
21 minutes of the match played, and a comedy of errors by the home side gave the visitors a chance at the lead, but
A. Zeven, after finding himself dashing down on goal from the left with only the keeper to beat, sliced his shot horribly wide.
The crowd gasped as
J. Urbanski of Reiseverkehr was flattened by an opponent after 26 minutes and had to be carried off.
B. Zell came in off the bench.
Against a lesser team, Reiseverkehr could very well have succeeded with their smart indirect free kick routine after 27 minutes. A trio of passes took the ball all the way past the defenders, but by then the intended recipient was already blocked off and the keeper could make a leisurely save.
The sun seemed to put
B. Zell in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long.
Kirchheim took the lead 32 minutes into the game, making the score 0 - 1 after some elegant movement down the middle.
R. Lečić was the scorer.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
P. Speigner from Reiseverkehr a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 37 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
Kirchheim's
M. Temps left the field after 38 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was
C. Saldern.
0 - 1 was the score after the first half.
Reiseverkehr enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 54 percent of possession.
Kirchheim mounted an inspired counterattack down the right wing after 54 minutes, but
A. Zeven was unable to convert from short range.
F. Schiffermüller was just a finger's breadth away from an equaliser for Reiseverkehr with a strike from the left, but
S. Intra managed to ward the shot off for a corner.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
C. Göcker got himself booked. The manager of Kirchheim was not happy.
69 minutes into the game,
N. Bischopf had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
L. Doetschel.
Reiseverkehr put pressure on the visitors' central defence 73 minutes into the game, but
F. Schiffermüller couldn't find an opening.
After 74 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave
C. Saldern a chance to increase the lead for Kirchheim, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 2.
Possession in this half belonged to Reiseverkehr, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.
Most important Reiseverkehr player was
F. Schiffermüller.
E. Kloeden was a disappointment, however.
R. Lečić performed admirably for Kirchheim.
On the other hand,
C. Göcker's play was disheartening.
The match ends 0 - 2.
