(384730840)

21-07-2012 18.55
It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 7775 that came out to
Topherama.
Ukko Paajala was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Juan Jesús Sánchez and
Hillar Vides.
Topherson tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination.
The following players had been chosen: Niggl - Hornkamp, Würzle, Broz, Schwürzenbeck - Wiencken, Hölzer, Meisolle, Jeremies - Boom, Heim.
Hedendorf started off with a 4-4-2 lineup.
The following players took the field: Ernle - Eminger, Busenbender, Mayer-Eggert, Schönecker - Wernsdorfer, Drabeck, Zentner, von Holdt - Scherbauer, Dünninger.
Topherson took the lead 7 minutes in, as
M. Hölzer broke through on the left and put the 1 - 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper.
Hedendorf's
R. Schönecker got himself booked for a foul.
Topherson's
P. Schwürzenbeck left the field after 26 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was
M. Wehrshausen.
A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Topherson to 2 - 0 as
M. Boom finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle.
The players of Topherson now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
Coming in on the left,
M. Busenbender did everything right to get a goal for Hedendorf after 33 minutes, but his finishing shot was stabbed clear by the keeper.
With 37 minutes played,
M. Boom of Topherson fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
2 - 0 was the score after the first half.
Topherson enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 53 percent of possession.
57 minutes into the game, Hedendorf's attack got through on the right, but
A. Dünninger couldn't handle the ball and his feeble kick wound up in the keeper's arms.
An awe-inspiring free kick by
L. Eminger of Hedendorf resulted in a goal 60 minutes into the game! 2 - 1 was the new score.
Hedendorf had a chance to level the score as
A. Drabeck suddenly found himself free in the middle of the box with only the keeper to beat, but he misjudged the finish, and only managed to hit the bar.
The sunny day didn't make things easy for
P. von Holdt who didn't seem his usual powerful self on the pitch.
Possession in this half belonged to Topherson, who controlled the ball 53 percent of the time.
Most important Topherson player was
G. Wiencken.
F. Würzle on the other hand, had a terrible day.
A. Mayer-Eggert performed admirably for Hedendorf.
K. Ernle turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 2 - 1.
