(384809067)

23-06-2012 19.00
Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and
Arena an der Ruhr saw a crowd turnout of 6420.
Ronald Karsmakers was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Flávio Cunha and
Vasile Necula.
Sportfreunde started off with a 4-4-2 lineup.
Lineup: Herrgott - Blumentrath, Tan, Patz, Platthaus - Gvozdenović, Schwabenland, Subbelrath, Cikatić - Kranawetvogel, Wölfer.
Debaki decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.
They fielded: Canstein - Pollmann, Gäcke, Drabich, Bruening - Oppenfeld, Hinck, Hoym, Becher - Gillot, Schmidt-Engelbracht.
R. Herrgott looked great 14 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors'
A. Bruening.
The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Debaki's
F. Gillot after 31 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead.
G. Kranawetvogel's speed is always a threat when he gets a little room to move, and 34 minutes into the match was no different as he broke free of his man to send a delightful through ball to
M. Wölfer who knocked it in for Sportfreunde. 1 - 1!
Sportfreunde were very close to putting themselves one up after 35 minutes as
V. Gvozdenović got through on the left, but failing in concentration, he shot the ball wide.
Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 36 minutes into the match left Debaki's
B. Schmidt-Engelbracht completely free to score. 1 - 2 for the visitors.
1 - 2 was the halftime score.
Possession in this half belonged to Debaki, who controlled the ball 51 percent of the time.
The referee showed Sportfreunde's
V. Gvozdenović the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
69 minutes into the game,
J. Schwabenland had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
T. Trännapp.
With 73 minutes gone,
V. Gvozdenović suddenly found himself completely free on the right wing when a counterattack by Sportfreunde caught their opponents by surprise. Only a great save by the opposing keeper prevented him from scoring.
With 76 minutes having been played, Sportfreunde scored to make it 2 - 2. A dribble down the left wing, followed by a shot which took a wicked bounce off a defender resulted in the keeper having no chance. Everyone thought it'd been an own goal, but
A. Cikatić was marked down as the scorer.
Debaki's
H. Hoym had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 80 minutes having been played.
N. Lumma was the replacement.
Debaki claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 54 percent.
The most dominating Sportfreunde player was without a doubt
D. Platthaus.
G. Subbelrath was a disappointment, however.
Debaki's top performer was clearly
F. Gillot.
M. Oppenfeld turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 2 - 2.
