Marxer hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. The home crowd cheered when, after 55 minutes, S. Fehr's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. After 70 minutes, Vikings's A. Marxer burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 7. P. Siggelkow received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 74 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 8. The Vikings fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. Vikings enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 85 percent of possession.

Sele's top performer was clearly S. Grischke. M. Hartmann was a disappointment, however. Most important Vikings player was P. Werner. However, M. Senn made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 8.
