Riesbach 1 - 1 Grünwald (384880895)

Due to an all-day shower, 37335 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at Grêmio Arena. Jim Stamsneijder was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Norbert Balkema and Antonios Fitrakis. People from all over Zürich had joined up for the derby. Riesbach started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Lineup: Chee Kwang - Circolo, Weilnhammer, Coray - Kašuba, Giaffreda, Gilson, Wehrheim, 栋康 (Dongkang) - Urech, Iseppi.

Grünwald tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Starters: Curti - Wyleżoł, Brette, Doensen - Benedetto, Goldwasser, Munteanu, Scheuch, Rietbroek - Mandujano, Geisinger.

F. Giaffreda of Riesbach seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 1 - 0 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by E. Weilnhammer. 24 minutes into the match, A. Wyleżoł bent a free kick around the home team's defensive formation, leaving the keeper with no chance for a save. Grünwald had levelled the scoreline at 1 - 1. Always quick and a menace to his opponents, 展. 栋康 (Dongkang) was very close to getting through after 35 minutes, but he could only put the ball into the keeper's arms. Slack defending gave Riesbach a chance to take the lead with 37 minutes played, but E. Iseppi's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition. With 38 minutes gone, Grünwald had a free kick in a decent position. Despite this being a great chance for a shot, they tried a cheeky move intended to bypass the defence. However, G. Goldwasser did not manage to connect with it cleanly and the ball went out. Halftime score was 1 - 1. Grünwald enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 56 percent of possession.

As the 60 minute mark approached, the Grünwald coach decided it was time for a substitution. G. Geisinger reluctantly made way for R. van Willegen on the pitch. C. Scheuch would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. H. Bernath entered the game for Grünwald as the match clock showed 65 minutes. Grünwald's H. Bernath had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 68 minutes having been played. J. Barral was the replacement. The visitors were very close to gaining the lead with a marvellous free kick after 77 minutes, but D. Chee Kwang made a beautiful one-handed save. S. Curti had to be alert to tip E. Weilnhammer's fantastic penalty kick over the bar, denying Riesbach a chance at the lead. Grünwald had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 79 minutes in when G. Goldwasser came up alone against D. Chee Kwang who managed a block. Grünwald's G. Goldwasser got himself booked for a foul. Riesbach could have put themselves ahead after 84 minutes but D. Gilson missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right. Possession in this half belonged to Riesbach, who controlled the ball 53 percent of the time.

F. Giaffreda performed admirably for Riesbach. However, R. Kašuba made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Grünwald player was without a doubt H. Mandujano. J. Barral on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 1.
