Oscar Simonin was the appointed referee with assistance provided by

Churer started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.

They fielded: Ventimiglia - Hasan, Netudyhata, Diener - Sánchez Zarzosa, Carimoney, Lennerhagen, Gorrieri, Ysenburg - Mildner, Echebarri.
SDW clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could.
A mistake by the home side's central defence after 8 minutes allowed

E. Malcuit showed the skills that make him a real crowd pleaser as he, after 11 minutes, wove through the guests' entire central defence and put the 1 - 1 equaliser away.
Some great play up the middle by Churer led to a chance for
E. Malcuit to score after 12 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar.
Churer took the lead 29 minutes into the game by 2 - 1, as
A. Henry elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar.
After 34 minutes, the visitors levelled the scores after
L. Echebarri made it through the middle and struck home to make it 2 - 2.
40 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Churer substitution.
A. Viesulis came on for
C. Beloeil.
Halftime score was 2 - 2.
Churer enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 65 percent of possession.
L. Gorrieri slipped and slithered in the wet grass. His usual rapid runs were nowhere to be seen today.

Cheers filled the stadium as
W. Glättli broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 4 - 2 to Churer.
Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
E. Malcuit squirmed through their central defence after 86 minutes, increasing the lead to 5 - 2.
By now, the players in Churer felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
87 minutes in,
R. Mildner made an incredible run up the middle and nearly reduced the home side's lead, but
N. Meller refused to let the ball slip by him.
R. Rütsche was called on to replace Churer's
N. Meller after 88 minutes following a nasty collision.
Coming in on the left,
L. Echebarri did everything right to get a goal for SDW after 89 minutes, but his finishing shot was stabbed clear by the keeper.
Possession in this half belonged to Churer, who controlled the ball 63 percent of the time.
E. Malcuit performed admirably for Churer.
P. Muggiasca was a disappointment, however.
The most dominating SDW player was without a doubt
L. Echebarri.
J. Carimoney turned in a dismal performance, however.
