5 minutes into the game, Pirates seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a weak level of organisation. Thighs bulging, T. Marighetti charged past the weaker players, seemingly oblivious to the rain. 26 minutes into the match Pirates's D. Archimalo viciously shoved another player from behind while going for a loose ball and was sent off the pitch with a red card. After 36 minutes, Pirates's V. Spignoli fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit! After 38 minutes, Morphlings's A. Guillemin made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from A. Caro after 39 minutes, and prevented Morphlings from going up another goal. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 1. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Morphlings, with 56 percent of the ball.

The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that Pirates had passable organisation. 63 minutes into the game, Pirates had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to passable. After 75 minutes, Pirates switched E. Schuneman with S. Renaud, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. Had it not been for one of the home defenders, A. Guillemin would have put Morphlings up another goal 75 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing. A. Guillemin spent most of the time in a heap on the ground today, his normally rapid movement hindered by the slippery pitch. With 82 minutes played, T. Marighetti nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, B. Savatier got himself booked. The manager of Pirates was not happy. After 87 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed A. Sopel to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 2. Confident in their lead, Morphlings's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. A. Sopel left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 89 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. S. Karwalajtys was the replacement. Pirates claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.

A. Fouqueray performed admirably for Pirates. I. Halboth turned in a dismal performance, however. Morphlings's best player was I. Wettenberg. S. Karwalajtys on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 2.
