(384883640)

11-08-2012 19.15
It had rained all day, but 34230 hardy fans still made it out to
Oskar Nolder Arena.
Janne Tillér was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Kenneth Jensen and
Bernd Pavelka.
project started off with a 4-5-1 lineup.
Lineup: Orenström - Valente, Filip, Lausch, Botta - Ripiccini, Trubert, Winzinger, Sielert, Ginger - Moschetto.
SEAHUNTER decided to use a 2-5-3 set up.
They fielded: Fayol - Feustel, Sankola - Künzli, Bohn, Soria, Havinen, Mariaca - Frangoso, Buitenkamp, Mizgalski.
The muddy pitch made the game a gritty affair, which seemed to suit
V. Filip just fine.
With 34 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending.
F. Frangoso put the ball away for 0 - 1.
P. Mariaca slipped and slithered in the wet grass. His usual rapid runs were nowhere to be seen today.
J. Havinen was struggling to make the ball dance with his usual trickery and panache, and the opposing players had little trouble shutting him down in these muddy conditions.
0 - 1 was the score after the first half.
project claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.
Although the whole team were struggling to impress, project's
D. Ripiccini was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 70 minutes.
S. Borgskog was given a chance to change things around.
J. Soria wanted to play on, but the SEAHUNTER coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 70 minutes into the game by
C. Cabrera.
The SEAHUNTER captaincy was handed to
M. Feustel.
After 73 minutes, project sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached
S. Borgskog, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 1 - 1.
D. Winzinger caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 75 minutes. This gave project the 2 - 1 lead.
The project coach was visibly pleased with the score so far, but still ordered a few tactical changes 75 minutes into the game.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
D. Ginger from project a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 78 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
A cross coming in on the right hand side left
H. Bohn alone in front of the goal after 80 minutes but his shot was woeful.
With 81 minutes played, project put themselves up 3 - 1 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
D. Ginger, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home.
At this point, it was obvious that the players of project lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
SEAHUNTER's
P. Mariaca was shown a yellow card after 83 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
T. Sankola had a lethal looking free kick that grazed the post after 84 minutes.
86 minutes in, project's
V. Filip received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
SEAHUNTER had a fair chance to reply after 87 minutes due to some fine moves down the left, but in the end
S. Buitenkamp was slow to keep up with the play and was unable to make it into the penalty box to apply a finish.
Neither team were able to dominate possession this half.
project's top performer was clearly
V. Filip.
T. Orenström turned in a dismal performance, however.
Most important SEAHUNTER player was
F. Frangoso.
V. Künzli on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 3 - 1.
