Some fine passing in the middle of the pitch, carving open the away defence, should have led to a goal for Nimmermüd, but A. Bozec's shot went over the bar. Nimmermüd put pressure on the visitors' central defence 35 minutes into the game, but J. Valpuesta couldn't find an opening. H. Scherber slipped and slithered in the wet grass. His usual rapid runs were nowhere to be seen today. After 42 minutes, Dudis's O. Fachal burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 2. It was 0 - 2 at the break. Nimmermüd claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.

Nimmermüd refused to be intimidated and, breaking through the middle, J. Valpuesta managed to slip the ball home for 1 - 2. J. Frisullo left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 60 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. H. Jabłoński was the replacement. Nimmermüd tried to even things up by sending a long ball towards the centrally placed strikers, but the visitors' defence got the best of this rather direct style of play. L. Goerz was having a great game - if anything the pouring rain seemed to be spurring him on! 82 minutes into the game, P. Girotto came close to levelling the score with a dangerous shot from the centre of the area that went just over the bar. With 86 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed B. Korsten of Dudis to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 1 - 3. By now, the players in Dudis felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. After 88 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave C. Bajna a chance to increase the lead for Dudis, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 1 - 4. The home side worked hard to get through the middle and as a result, had a good chance of getting one back as L. Goerz tried lifting the ball over keeper N. Züblin. Unfortunately, the ball went just over the bar. Possession in this half belonged to Nimmermüd, who controlled the ball 59 percent of the time.

L. Goerz performed admirably for Nimmermüd. On the other hand, R. Schait's play was disheartening. The most dominating Dudis player was without a doubt G. Nieddu. J. Kotilainen turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 4.
