11-08-2012 19.15
The crowd of 21058 turning up at
Denner-Vorplatz today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain.
Pablo Lamas was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Daniel Svensson and
Chwalisław Rajch.
Muristreet had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
Lineup: Goudena - Minopoli, Carrey, Broch - Suet, Gouze, Gamuza, Ackermann, Syed - Wydenkeller, Cristofori.
Sisamo decided to use a 2-5-3 set up.
The following players took the field: Nicolet - Dmoch, Ramotowski - Vix, Giovannetti, Poeder, Peltier, Mengin - Pardon, Malm, Barthelmes.
R. Cristofori caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 18 minutes. This gave Muristreet the 1 - 0 lead.
The visitors'
E. Pardon was alert after a cross coming in from the left, levelling the score at 1 - 1 after 30 minutes.
M. Malm slipped and slithered in the wet grass. His usual rapid runs were nowhere to be seen today.
38 minutes in, Sisamo's
E. Barthelmes received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
Muristreet's
G. Wydenkeller was shown a yellow card after 44 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
After 44 minutes, Sisamo's
E. Pardon swiftly ran past
R. Carrey and nutmegged the keeper! 1 - 2.
It was 1 - 2 at the break.
Muristreet claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 51 percent.
The Sisamo free kick 53 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of
O. Poeder, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 1 - 3!
By now, the players in Sisamo felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
58 minutes into the game, Sisamo worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch.
The home side worked their way through the middle and almost got one back when
S. Gamuza tried to sneak the ball past the keeper.
M. Nicolet was too alert for that!
R. Peltier wanted to play on, but the Sisamo coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 65 minutes into the game by
E. Maher.
Muristreet's
S. Gamuza had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 79 minutes having been played.
Y. Poirson was the replacement.
At 80 minutes into the game, Muristreet's
J. Suet deftly knocked the ball home after an impressive run down the left, reducing the visitors' lead to 2 - 3.
E. Goudena got a fingertip on
B. Vix's shot from the left 83 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal.
The crowd was on its feet 84 minutes into the match, as Muristreet's
R. Cristofori found himself unmarked in front of the goal after a dash up the left side. He calmly put away the 3 - 3 equaliser.
Possession of the ball saw an equal split between the teams during the forty-five minutes.
Muristreet's best player was
G. Wydenkeller.
Y. Poirson was a disappointment, however.
E. Barthelmes performed admirably for Sisamo.
M. Dmoch on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 3 - 3.
