Karnick found a gap in the home side's central defence and scored with a fabulous shot, making it 1 - 1. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave M. Serva from bianconeri a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 29 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Unfortunately for MoesTaverne, A. Greue was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field. L. Knutsen replaced him. Thighs bulging, E. Fochi charged past the weaker players, seemingly oblivious to the rain. After a fine move down the middle M. Serva nearly gave the home side a goal after 33 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide. With 37 minutes played, M. Ortíz of MoesTaverne fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. The home side put themselves ahead 2 - 1 after 38 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from A. Cotozzolo, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing. MoesTaverne tied it all up, 39 minutes in, after a spectacular goal by E. Damann, who miraculously broke through the home side's central defence, making it 2 - 2. bianconeri's A. Cotozzolo got himself booked for a foul. 41 minutes into the match, MoesTaverne nearly took the lead, as D. Hennessey broke through on the right. G. Fornasini made the save, however. Halftime score was 2 - 2. bianconeri enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 53 percent of possession.

At the 50 minute mark, it looked like the opportunity for bianconeri to score had been missed until G. Paradinha suddenly worked his way clear and fired off a spectacular shot. The keeper had no chance! 3 - 2. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in bianconeri's A. Finozzi increasing the lead to 4 - 2. With 76 minutes played, bianconeri put themselves up 5 - 2 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to G. Wandeler, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. After 79 minutes, bianconeri sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached H. Monteiro, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 6 - 2. Confident in their lead, bianconeri's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. bianconeri claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.

Most important bianconeri player was G. Wandeler. G. Fornasini was a disappointment, however. The most dominating MoesTaverne player was without a doubt M. Pantović. However, M. Fleury made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 6 - 2.
