Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Luca's Stadium saw a crowd turnout of 12000. Jounaidi Rahmoun was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Philipp Kempa and José Alberto Catalão. Luca started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. 14 minutes into the game, G. Giovannini was a hair's breadth away from giving FC Sg the lead with a shot from over on the left. A prompt block by E. Bell saved the home team that time. T. Carafa's early cross saw the defenders caught out of position and the alert H. Dahrmann was able to pounce and roll the ball past the hapless goalkeeper to score for Luca. 1 - 0. D. Rentsch behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 27 minutes as he gave the ball away to G. Vinot. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. Given a free kick close to the byline, FC Sg tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let L. Fronteddu slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 1 - 1, 38 minutes into the game. FC Sg's F. Wakeman left the field after 41 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was M. Joachim. 1 - 1 was the score after the first half. Luca claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 60 percent.

A mistake by the home side's central defence after 67 minutes allowed G. Giovannini to score for FC Sg. The scoreboard now read 1 - 2. After the ball was lifted in from the left, M. Lehe was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 68 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. Luca's H. Dahrmann made an attempt at equalising 69 minutes into the match, coming in from the right, but the ball hit the post and the defence easily cleared the rebound. Luca had most of the ball, with 61 percent of possession.

Y. Argaud performed admirably for Luca. E. Bell on the other hand, had a terrible day. FC Sg's top performer was clearly G. Vinot. However, M. Joachim made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 1 - 2.
