(384906656)

11-08-2012 19.15
It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 17864 that came out to
Hogwarts.
Aristoteles Di Miceli was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Bora Elit and
Bálint Gyimesi.
All of
Zürich was shut down for the day, as fans of both clubs came to the derby.
GCZ decided to use a 3-4-3 set up.
Lineup: Quarino - Ivarsson, Schosser, Ðuričko - Quintard, Grzybowski, Hering, Reisinger - Dörig, Blümke, Ibn-Ashraf.
A 4-3-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Terneuzen.
They fielded: Arbeitman - Lavi, Klærke, Hubitz, Dooms - Valjin, Simonin, Zapata - Acić, Balogh.
GCZ immediately set off using their skill at pressing their opponents.
It was a hot and sunny day, and several players seemed worn out. Maybe this was why
S. Dooms found an unusual amount of space for his snappy footwork.
GCZ fans held their breath as
H. Hering scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 1 - 0!
After 39 minutes, the visitors levelled the scores after
I. Valjin made it through the middle and struck home to make it 1 - 1.
40 minutes into the game, Terneuzen had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to
passable.
With 41 minutes played,
K. Ibn-Ashraf of GCZ fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
43 minutes into the game, Terneuzen seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
poor.
After 44 minutes, Terneuzen put themselves up 1 - 2, as
N. Lavi finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot.
It was 1 - 2 at the break.
GCZ claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.
A review of the gameplan helped Terneuzen get back to a
passable organisation when the referee blew his whistle again.
After 64 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Terneuzen found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
inadequate.
Had it not been for one of the home defenders,
M. Balogh would have put Terneuzen up another goal 66 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing.
D. Acić received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 68 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 1 - 3. The Terneuzen fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early.
69 minutes in, Terneuzen appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only
poor.
After 79 minutes,
K. Ibn-Ashraf had a good opportunity to reduce the scoreline for GCZ with a chance created through the middle, but wasn't cool enough. The ball went miles over the bar.
With 83 minutes played, Terneuzen put themselves up 1 - 4 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was
G. Simonin.
GCZ enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 54 percent of possession.
The most dominating GCZ player was without a doubt
A. Blümke.
However,
E. Quarino made a disastrous appearance.
Most important Terneuzen player was
D. Acić.
N. Lavi was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 1 - 4.
