GARWEB 6 - 1 Kirchrued
(384912354)

16-06-2012 19.15
22568 spectators had found their way to
Züri-Dome, despite the heavy rain.
Arturo Ventrone was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Alfonso Piñerúa and
Samy Delalandre.
GARWEB had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
They fielded: Grygoruk - te Riele, Sánchez García, Vanhelmont - Egurrola, Salas, Frey, Malapati, Soriani - Di Vincenzo, Cherkovskiy.
Kirchrued decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.
The following players had been chosen: Hauri - Donís, Čul, Widemann, Opsahl - Krauer, Musy, Deloison, Schreier - Pettersson, Kääriäinen.
GARWEB saw most attack opportunities on the wings.
Kirchrued were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks.
The celebrations in the stands could only mean one thing -
R. Vanhelmont's free kick had found the back of the net and put GARWEB ahead 1 - 0!
A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of GARWEB to 2 - 0 as
E. Soriani finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle.
After 35 minutes,
F. Frey put GARWEB ahead 3 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing.
Players in GARWEB heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead.
GARWEB's
M. Di Vincenzo increased the lead to 4 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 36 minutes.
After this, you could see that the players of GARWEB were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
GARWEB managed to extend their lead to 5 - 0 when
R. Malapati cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper.
The teams went for the halftime break at 5 - 0.
GARWEB claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 69 percent.
F. Frey wanted to play on, but the GARWEB coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 57 minutes into the game by
O. Neusser.
The home team's fans were not happy with the visitors'
P. Čul's great free kick that resulted in Kirchrued reducing the score to 5 - 1.
Kirchrued breathed new life into the game with an opportunity to reduce the score after 65 minutes, but the home side's defenders cleared the ball on the line, after a long shot coming in from the left rebounded off the crossbar.
GARWEB put themselves up 6 - 1 when
N. te Riele broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake.
Thighs bulging,
K. Deloison charged past the weaker players, seemingly oblivious to the rain.
GARWEB's
E. Egurrola was shown a yellow card after 78 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
E. Soriani unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide.
Possession in this half belonged to GARWEB, who controlled the ball 66 percent of the time.
Most important GARWEB player was
N. te Riele.
W. Grygoruk on the other hand, had a terrible day.
Kirchrued's top performer was clearly
S. Pettersson.
E. Hauri was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 6 - 1.
