Unbesiegt took the lead 12 minutes in, as P. Badocchi broke through on the left and put the 1 - 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. The referee showed Drüeggli's M. Jedlička the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. S. Fürst enjoyed the sunshine and demonstrated his stunning technique over and over again. Unbesiegt solidified their lead at the 36 minute mark, as J. Nyström dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 2 - 0. Cheers filled the stadium as B. Marfuggi broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 0 to Unbesiegt. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Unbesiegt to 4 - 0 as G. Zeidner finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. Confident in their lead, Unbesiegt's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. R. Gelida of Unbesiegt received a yellow card after 41 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Halftime score was 4 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Unbesiegt, with 53 percent of the ball.

The home side's P. Badocchi came close to extending the lead 47 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but E. Peertz managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop. Usually a powerful player on the field, B. Meneghello Pisi looked kind of pale and tired under the hot sun. After 56 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by P. Badocchi might have resulted in another goal for Unbesiegt. However, E. Peertz made a spectacular save. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Unbesiegt coach let N. Sall replace E. Kolbeck after 60 minutes. A well-placed free kick by Drüeggli's A. Rubys reduced the lead to 4 - 1. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave J. Arnold from Drüeggli a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 84 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Unbesiegt's U. Yassuda had an excellent opportunity after 88 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! Drüeggli had a fair chance to reply after 89 minutes due to some fine moves down the left, but in the end M. Jedlička was slow to keep up with the play and was unable to make it into the penalty box to apply a finish. Drüeggli's H. Ehnsten had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 89 minutes having been played. B. Olafsen was the replacement. B. Marfuggi could have increased the lead after 89 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. Possession in this half belonged to Unbesiegt, who controlled the ball 56 percent of the time.

The most dominating Unbesiegt player was without a doubt U. Yassuda. S. Kralj was a disappointment, however. Drüeggli's best player was W. Sumara. E. Peertz on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 4 - 1.
