A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from D. Paalvast after 52 minutes, and prevented fczwanpaarebo from going up another goal. Just a few inches to the right, and the visitors could have had a goal 53 minutes into the match. J. Kaikkonen surely wishes he could do that free kick over again. A marvellous 1879 effort on the right-hand side resulted in a goal after 54 minutes by A. Cardoso, making the score 2 - 3. 1879's P. Brocard put his head to a high ball coming in from the right after 55 minutes, but the ball went wide. 1879's counterattacks created a good chance for A. Villar on the right after 59 minutes, but he could only look on with dismay as his strike rebounded off the crossbar. 1879's M. Gilibert made an attempt at equalising 60 minutes into the match, coming in from the right, but the ball hit the post and the defence easily cleared the rebound. The referee showed fczwanpaarebo's Z. Juśko the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, 1879's J. Britschgi was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 85 minutes. M. Boţan was given a chance to change things around. Possession of the ball saw an equal split between the teams during the forty-five minutes.

M. Gilibert performed admirably for 1879. R. Videka was a disappointment, however. The most dominating fczwanpaarebo player was without a doubt P. Greff. S. Monteiro on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 3.
