Schutti had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. 36 minutes had elapsed when a great chance for Schutti to take the lead after a good cross from the right found P. Tornero alone with the keeper, but he chipped it to the wrong side of the post. Oberhasli's talent at pressing frustrated the spectators as the game became a dire midfield struggle. Oberhasli's ability to press all over the field frequently paid dividends. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 1. Schutti enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 60 percent of possession.

They were singing the praises of P. The sunny day didn't make things easy for J. Tel who didn't seem his usual powerful self on the pitch. A great save by keeper C. Flütsch after 76 minutes kept the visitors in the game after E. Lefebvre struck from the left with a real cannonball. The Schutti coach was visibly pleased with the score so far, but still ordered a few tactical changes 80 minutes into the game. In the lead, Schutti adjusted their style of play with 80 minutes gone. 84 minutes in, Oberhasli's J. Tel received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
