Fensterscheibe 1 - 0 swissmade (384948708)

The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 26078 had shown up at Glashütte for the match. Francis Zorn was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Lukas Boehringer and Pentti Vennonen. Fans of both teams had been eagerly awaiting this Bern derby and were doing their best to outshout their opponents. A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Fensterscheibe. The following players took the field: Ferrarese - Vanhoenacker, Andía, Varga, Clair - Jordan, Brehler, Hammer, Sperry - Stępień, Chwalisz.

swissmade decided to use a 4-3-3 set up. They fielded: Lah - Gartmann, Markovic, Kallen, Tarr - Allen, Gomes, van Oosten - Waldmann, Roşianu, Polston.

For their match strategy, swissmade had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible. After 13 minutes, the defensive line of swissmade created a counterattack through the middle that gave G. Tarr a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. The referee showed swissmade's M. Waldmann the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 0. Fensterscheibe claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 59 percent.

With the clock showing 48 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of swissmade resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by L. Gartmann in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. 56 minutes into the game, M. Waldmann almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. O. Roşianu would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. M. Turchetto entered the game for swissmade as the match clock showed 71 minutes. A foul after 74 minutes resulted in a free kick. A. Stępień cannonballed it, giving the home team the lead 1 - 0. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave W. Chwalisz from Fensterscheibe a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 77 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Fensterscheibe enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.

Fensterscheibe's best player was A. Stępień. G. Ferrarese on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important swissmade player was F. Markovic. E. van Oosten was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 0.
