Dynamo 2 - 2 SOLO
(384961114)

23-06-2012 17.00
Dark skies made the crowd of 24382 at
Dynamo Turicum Arena a little nervous, but the rain held off.
Beniamino Gravina was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
João Vieira and
Dimitri Paugam.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Dynamo.
Lineup: Vedējs - Beaurain, Andrew, Gurgel - Rolandsson, Zinderli, Vizcarreto, Tieman, Cankut - Linklett, Airo.
SOLO started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
The following players had been chosen: Voet - Chumacero, Steider, Zorzi - Roussel, von Medem, van Liempd, Brähler, Picariello - Jaruchinda, Ilg.
With 6 minutes played, SOLO's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to
A. Brähler he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 0 - 1.
Dynamo's
P. Zinderli made a successful breakthrough on the left after 7 minutes and should have levelled the score, but instead he clipped it over the bar.
N. Jaruchinda of SOLO took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 22 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 2.
There was concern in the stands when, at the 23 minute mark, Dynamo's
T. Beaurain hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch.
24 minutes into the game Dynamo broke through on the left wing and
E. Linklett managed to reduce the lead to 1 - 2.
A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from
N. Jaruchinda after 26 minutes, and prevented SOLO from going up another goal.
Halftime score was 1 - 2.
Dynamo claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 65 percent.
Dynamo's
T. Beaurain was shown a yellow card after 71 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
Dynamo's
J. Tieman put his head to a high ball coming in from the right after 79 minutes, but the ball went wide.
Unsportsmanlike behaviour by
T. Beaurain rendered him his second booking of the match, and Dynamo had to finish the game with a reduced squad.
SOLO's
A. van Liempd was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 84 minutes.
With 86 minutes having been played, Dynamo scored to make it 2 - 2. A dribble down the left wing, followed by a shot which took a wicked bounce off a defender resulted in the keeper having no chance. Everyone thought it'd been an own goal, but
H. Rolandsson was marked down as the scorer.
Dynamo enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 63 percent of possession.
Most important Dynamo player was
P. Zinderli.
S. Airo turned in a dismal performance, however.
SOLO's top performer was clearly
A. van Liempd.
G. Steider was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 2 - 2.
