Due to an all-day shower, 29431 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at JaZ 2000 Arena. Oost put his head to a well placed ball, lifted in from the left, and scored to make the score 1 - 1 with 29 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock. 2000 could have put themselves ahead after 32 minutes but I. Oost missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right. B. Sage came close to putting the visiting team one up 33 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but D. Feucht managed to tip the ball to a corner. 1 - 1 was the score after the first half. 2000 enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 55 percent of possession.

At 55 minutes played, A. Abbt came in from the right with the intention of giving 2000 the lead, but his rocket of a shot rattled the crossbar. The game was characterised by rough play and many physical challenges on the wet field, but H. Beck showed great heart and had a good game. Slack defending gave 2000 a chance to take the lead with 80 minutes played, but N. von Grüningen's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition. The counterattacks of Añejo were deadly and 81 minutes into the game, H. Beck received a nice pass from the right flank, making it 1 - 2. 2000 were awarded a penalty with 82 minutes played, and J. Wehdorn made no mistake as he effortlessly slotted the equaliser home. 2 - 2. Some good play on the left wing created an opportunity for the visitors 85 minutes into the match, and O. Wyssen wasn't about to let it go by. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 2 - 3 for the visitors. The crowd was on its feet 86 minutes into the match, as 2000's J. Wehdorn found himself unmarked in front of the goal after a dash up the left side. He calmly put away the 3 - 3 equaliser. H. Beck of Añejo received a yellow card after 87 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by 2000, with 56 percent of the ball.

Most important 2000 player was B. Dimov. D. Feucht was a disappointment, however. Añejo's best player was H. Beck. D. Knerr turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 3 - 3.
