Horrisberger got himself booked for a foul. In a fantastic display of determination, LaA-soccers's W. Fitrzyk forced himself to his feet, after an opponent viciously knocked him down. LaA-soccers's talent at pressing frustrated the spectators as the game became a dire midfield struggle. 4 - 0 was the halftime score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by LaA-soccers, with 80 percent of the ball.

LaA-soccers's V. Nebel increased the lead to 5 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 49 minutes. The pressing tactics used by LaA-soccers were successful as the ball remained close to the half way line at all times. LaA-soccers's P. Prat had an excellent opportunity after 69 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! At this time in the match, LaA-soccers were using their skill at pressing to successfully stifle the game. W.
