Manolo 4 - 0 Menzingen
(385119308)

16-06-2012 17.45
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 15205 to
Manolo Citienz.
Paulo Paillemil was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Habib Al-Abdel and
Emil Schmette.
Manolo decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.
Starters: Bonner - Ilczuk, Korder, Panizzi, Bailet - Zurlinden, Maślak, Lepp, Bellwald - Sioen, Kozyura.
Menzingen tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
The following players had been chosen: Amacher - Ellmeier, Salge, Fañanas - Ameri, Poyancos, Ağbet, Montini, Mårtensson - Fosco, Schiazza.
After 8 minutes,
G. Bellwald came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 1 - 0, giving Manolo the lead.
Manolo's
D. Bailet saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 12 minutes.
O. Lepp was the first to reach the corner kick, but his header was blocked by the keeper. However, Manolo's
G. Bellwald managed to get hold of the rebound and tucked the ball into the empty net. 2 - 0
J. Poyancos had a lethal looking free kick that grazed the post after 20 minutes.
S. Kozyura should probably have put his team up another goal after 25 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by
C. Amacher kept the visitors in the game.
It was 2 - 0 at the break.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Manolo, with 62 percent of the ball.
The home side's
S. Kozyura curled a free kick home after 51 minutes, putting Manolo ahead 3 - 0.
With 66 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience,
X. Salge needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed.
After 74 minutes a well-practised indirect free kick routine by Menzingen was easily anticipated by the defenders. The players forward were so well marked, they were left with few viable options.
G. Bellwald increased the lead for Manolo to 4 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it!
By then
G. Bellwald had scored three goals - a hat trick!
The players of Manolo now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
82 minutes in, Manolo's
S. Kozyura received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
V. Ameri had a couple of good opportunities to reply, but the home team's keeper
P. Bonner was simply unbeatable.
Manolo had most of the ball, with 62 percent of possession.
Manolo's best player was
O. Lepp.
On the other hand,
I. Korder's play was disheartening.
Menzingen's top performer was clearly
C. Montini.
C. Amacher on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 4 - 0.
