With 51 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience, I. Devos needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed. Opportunitätskosten increased the lead to 0 - 3 as G. Markwardt scored from the penalty spot, putting the ball in near the top left corner. The referee showed Aarau's C. Grosjean the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Opportunitätskosten's F. Guéry made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 71 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. Aarau's C. Grosjean had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 82 minutes having been played. P. Arensberg was the replacement.
