After 30 minutes Puistokemistit tried to exploit their counterattacking skills, unfortunately, T. Moisseinen's shot sailed wide after his break down the right. M. Kaltio of Tontunmäki got sent off for kicking the ball after the whistle, a completely uncalled for move, earning him his second yellow card of the game. The celebrations in the stands could only mean one thing - F. Pleske's free kick had found the back of the net and put Tontunmäki ahead 1 - 0! F. Pleske's curling free kick almost found the goal for Tontunmäki, but the visitors' keeper somehow managed to get ahold of it. 1 - 0 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Tontunmäki, who controlled the ball 70 percent of the time.

After 53 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by Ø. Jensen might have resulted in another goal for Tontunmäki. However, M. Rapanen made a spectacular save. Tontunmäki's H. Krook saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 70 minutes. J. von Moos of Puistokemistit was able to make an impressive rush past the sluggish Ø. Jensen, which resulted in a goal making the score 1 - 1. Puistokemistit had a great opportunity to score following a counterattack after 75 minutes, but J. Sorvari's shot from the left sailed high over the bar. Tontunmäki had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. Having just succeeded in blocking a dangerous counter attack, the defending team was outwitted by the follow-up Puistokemistit free kick. The routine was expertly executed as the ball was shifted quickly to one side of the box, then back to the other. K. Korzec appeared on cue near the post, and steered it past the goalie. 1 - 2, after 82 minutes. After a fatal mistake from the away team's right side defence 84 minutes into the match, an alert B. Michel bagged the ball for Tontunmäki, levelling the score to 2 - 2. Tontunmäki claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 70 percent.

B. Michel performed admirably for Tontunmäki. A. Claesson was a disappointment, however. Most important Puistokemistit player was J. von Moos. However, M. Rapanen made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 2.
