previous 3/10 next 5/10  losluuserssonit 2 - 1 Kingpinn (385473444)

The 26697 spectators at losluuserssonit Arena were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Runar ''Nabbis'' Lyhborg was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Paul Högkvist and Ralf Savi. losluuserssonit had chosen a strategic 5-4-1 formation. Lineup: Björkqvist - Puuppo, Tort, Metsäntaus, Knagg, Juuso - Tiilikainen, Laato, Lehtonen, Mannil - Turkki.

Kingpinn started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Starters: Filipović - Nebenführ, Lindholm, Kakkinen - Havsteen-Mikkelsen, Heiniö, Vaha, Meriläinen, Zeković - Brandbeck, Velasco Ruiz.

Today, Kingpinn's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks. After 20 minutes, the visitors nearly went up a goal, but N. Brandbeck's free kick hit the crossbar. With 25 minutes gone, J. Puuppo suddenly found himself completely free on the right wing when a counterattack by losluuserssonit caught their opponents by surprise. Only a great save by the opposing keeper prevented him from scoring. At the 35 minute mark, it looked like the opportunity for losluuserssonit to score had been missed until J. Turkki suddenly worked his way clear and fired off a spectacular shot. The keeper had no chance! 1 - 0. With 36 minutes played, L. Kakkinen came in from the right and could have evened the score, but the defenders successfully repelled the attack by Kingpinn. It was 1 - 0 at the break. Kingpinn enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.

The visitors didn't give in and, after 58 minutes, M. Zeković got through the home side's central line of defence, rolling in the equaliser to make it 1 - 1. The fierce heat made it important to save breath, and after a few swift runs J. Mannil found it hard to get back into position. N. Brandbeck enjoyed the sunshine and demonstrated his stunning technique over and over again. Kingpinn's L. Kakkinen could have put the guests one up after 65 minutes after chasing a through ball from the right, but A. Björkqvist was as fast as a snake, grabbing the ball from under his nose. 67 minutes into the match Kingpinn's N. Brandbeck viciously shoved another player from behind while going for a loose ball and was sent off the pitch with a red card. Kingpinn had to make a substitution after 74 minutes. J. Havsteen-Mikkelsen limped off the field and was replaced by C. Matta. After 79 minutes of play, J. Turkki gave the home team a 2 - 1 lead after an attack coming in from the right. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Kingpinn, with 54 percent of the ball.

The most dominating losluuserssonit player was without a doubt A. Lehtonen. J. Puuppo turned in a dismal performance, however. Kingpinn's top performer was clearly A. Heiniö. C. Matta was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 1.
