Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 60651 at Tomppe Club Arena today. Demir Kami was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Jamal Holzmeister and Torbjörn Thyhult. Tomppe started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Starters: Słupczyński - Dede, Levomäki, Richardy - Abanto, Risku, Hannunen, Ojamies, Rossinen - Næsborg, Vischering.

PPP tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. They fielded: Wellens - Candia, Plosts, Kaijansinkko - Yiannakoglou, Nokkonen, Huuhka, Puukka, Blok - Kinnunen, Kaipiala.

Tomppe saw most attack opportunities on the wings. Tomppe's J. Risku had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 4 minutes having been played. V. Juusti was the replacement. After 7 minutes, J. Blok sent the corner kick right to M. Nokkonen who headed it sharply past the keeper. 0 - 1! PPP's E. Yiannakoglou got himself booked for a foul. 14 minutes into the match, Tomppe's L. Vischering maneuvered his way around the opposition on the left flank, delighting the crowd with his twists and turns. The effort paid off as the ball found the back of the net, evening the score at 1 - 1. PPP took the lead 23 minutes into the game, making the score 1 - 2 after some elegant movement down the middle. E. Yiannakoglou was the scorer. 1 - 2 was the score after the first half. Tomppe claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.

J. Kaipiala left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 55 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. M. Marjetta was the replacement. A foul 63 minutes into the game resulted in a free kick for Tomppe. L. Dede took advantage as he curled the equalising goal into the top corner, just out of the reach of the keeper. 2 - 2. After 68 minutes, PPP's T. Puukka made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 2 - 3. T. Næsborg made a superb strike after 69 minutes with a shot straight in front of the goal after a long ball through the middle, but one of the visitors' defenders got a foot in at the last second and warded it off for a corner. The PPP players could smell victory in the air. J. Blok wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for A. Malenšek after 70 minutes. The coach of PPP was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 70 minutes, T. Ukko came on for W. Wellens. The PPP captaincy was handed to T. Ukko. With 73 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed M. Nokkonen of PPP to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 2 - 4. A. Ojamies charged down the left and looked sure to score for Tomppe 80 minutes into the game, but his shot went just wide. Tomppe had most of the ball, with 54 percent of possession.

Tomppe's best player was L. Vischering. O. Abanto on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating PPP player was without a doubt T. Kinnunen. T. Ukko was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 4.
