DBU 5 - 0 FBS
(385479664)

11-08-2012 20.00
It had rained all day, but 34604 hardy fans still made it out to
Mommas Magical Ganja Garden.
Muoi Van Trieu was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Matthias Boldt and
Jakub Kupc.
DBU started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
The following players had been chosen: Uyttenhove - Relander, Willemen, Cravo - Olsen, Mohorič, Lindby, Nikunen, Filip - Tastula, Rapf.
A 5-2-3 alignment was the formation of choice for FBS.
They fielded: Chodakowski - Jauhia, Sunesson, Ben Ahmed, Van Leerberghe, Rubiralt - Plazina, Seye - Irimia, Stav, Carromba.
DBU tried to focus their attacks down the middle.
Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of FBS.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
M. Irimia from FBS a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 11 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
DBU had a good opportunity to take the lead as
S. Mohorič came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of
L. Chodakowski.
FBS's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 18 minutes gone, but
J. Rubiralt's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper.
DBU's
C. Filip got himself booked for a foul.
J. Sunesson was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so FBS's
A. dos Reis had to come off the bench.
A. Carromba slipped and slithered in the wet grass. His usual rapid runs were nowhere to be seen today.
J. Rapf gave DBU the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0
The DBU players could smell victory in the air.
L. Cravo wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for
H. Falling after 35 minutes.
N. Olsen became the new DBU captain.
FBS's
A. dos Reis was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 37 minutes.
A great save by keeper
L. Chodakowski after 43 minutes kept the visitors in the game after
J. Rapf struck from the left with a real cannonball.
It was 1 - 0 at the break.
DBU enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 83 percent of possession.
It was obvious that team DBU had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings.
Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
M. Nikunen squirmed through their central defence after 49 minutes, increasing the lead to 2 - 0.
FBS's
V. Plazina was shown a yellow card after 52 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
N. Olsen increased DBU's lead to 3 - 0 with a penalty spot cannonball.
By now, the players in DBU felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
J. Lindby was having a great game - if anything the pouring rain seemed to be spurring him on!
DBU's
N. Olsen struck his penalty well enough to beat the goalkeeper and extend the home team's lead to 4 - 0 after 72 minutes.
The home side's
N. Olsen curled a free kick home after 77 minutes, putting DBU ahead 5 - 0.
By then
N. Olsen had scored three goals - a hat trick!
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by DBU, with 84 percent of the ball.
DBU's top performer was clearly
T. Tastula.
H. Falling was a disappointment, however.
Most important FBS player was
M. Irimia.
On the other hand,
A. dos Reis's play was disheartening.
The match ends 5 - 0.
