H. Gijgink slipped and slithered in the wet grass. His usual rapid runs were nowhere to be seen today. The home crowd was pulling their hair out after J. Niemikoski missed a penalty shot by miles 76 minutes into the game. A lovely run by FCM's J. Pöyhönen left his markers for dead and should have resulted in a goal, but the finish went just wide.
