Clouds darkened the skies at Faija Center as 28004 spectators turned up for the match. George Presdorf was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Marcin Sztenkiel and Juan Cusihuamán. Faijas displayed their ability to play creatively. Today, FC-GOATSE's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks. The guests took the lead 4 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in G. Monroy scoring to make it 0 - 1. FC-GOATSE had to make a substitution after 11 minutes. A. Wuhrmann limped off the field and was replaced by R. Pruvost. M. Chittaro got left behind when Faijas's L. Black made a sudden run forward after 17 minutes, finishing off with a neat strike. 1 - 1! Faijas fans held their breath as M. Soares scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 2 - 1! After 34 minutes, Faijas felt secure enough to make a tactical change. M. Soares and O. Donat assumed each others positions on the field. Faijas's V. Kremencovas was dominating his wing and kept sending fine balls into the opposition's box - L. Black managed to volley one of them into the net to make it 3 - 1 after 36 minutes. After 36 minutes, the Faijas players received new instructions from their manager on how to keep in control of the game. In an effort to secure the lead, Faijas changed their tactic after 36 minutes. Confident in their lead, Faijas's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. 3 - 1 was the halftime score. Faijas enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.

M. Soares had a fantastic opportunity to put Faijas up another goal 47 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. G. Monroy's speed was clear to see after 68 minutes, as he darted down the wing and released V. Kestler who placed the ball into the back of the net to make the score 3 - 2. The visitors kept the pressure on to tie the game when, after 74 minutes, V. Kestler broke through the centre and found himself alone with the keeper. V. Khvadagiani made a great block, though. With 76 minutes played, Faijas put themselves up 4 - 2 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to M. Soares, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. Faijas claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.

Faijas's top performer was clearly M. Soares. N. Sotonić was a disappointment, however. Most important FC-GOATSE player was G. Monroy. R. Pruvost on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 4 - 2.
