previous 3/4 next 1/4  Naskapapaset 2 - 3 Fc Tapa (385547597)

It had rained all day, but 19300 hardy fans still made it out to Naskapapaset Stadion. Siep Endevoets was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Stefan Prager and Mihály Élő. Naskapapaset tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination. The following players took the field: Shtan'ko - Pietsch, Karaben, Löfgren, Kwiecień - Pettersson, Pourtau, Jemâa, Yli-Kovero - Naukkarinen, Srour.

Fc Tapa had chosen a strategic 4-5-1 formation. They fielded: Wasserman - Rousseau, Jakonen, Somer, Hyyppä - Saavedra, Döme, Vulpe, Rosin, Dombald - de Meijer.

After 1 minutes, the Naskapapaset coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving S. Jemâa off the field. I. Paquet took his place. 1 minutes into the game, Naskapapaset wanted to bring some new energy to their game. A. Naukkarinen gave M. Segarra a quick hug as he left the field. The guests took the lead 14 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in G. Rosin scoring to make it 0 - 1. It was a bad day for the usually speedy J. Jakonen. The mud seemed to slow him down. Some things can only be learned through experience, and I. Paquet should take his lesson to heart after nearly gifting Fc Tapa a goal with 31 minutes of the match played. J. Dombald didn't let the weather get him down and made some great moves on the pitch in spite of the rain. After 40 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed J. Dombald to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 2. Naskapapaset's T. Yli-Kovero got the home crowd going when he finished off a left wing charge, reducing the away team's lead to 1 - 2. The crowd roared in delight as H. Karaben finished off a spectacular series of passes through the middle to even the score for Naskapapaset 42 minutes into the match. 2 - 2. 2 - 2 was the score after the first half. Fc Tapa claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 58 percent.

A penalty was given after 50 minutes, allowing the visitors to gain the lead: 2 - 3. N. Saavedra was the scorer. Fc Tapa's N. Saavedra made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 65 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. D. Döme had a hard time on the waterlogged pitch - his trademark technique was nowhere in sight today. Naskapapaset enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 51 percent of possession.

Y. Pourtau performed admirably for Naskapapaset. However, O. Löfgren made a disastrous appearance. Most important Fc Tapa player was G. Rosin. E. de Meijer turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 2 - 3.
