Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Kalevan, with 56 percent of the ball.

50 minutes into the game Kalevan's B. Rydzik found a gap in the home side's central defence and scored with a fabulous shot, making it 1 - 1. The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Kalevan's B. Rydzik after 64 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 1 - 2 lead. J. Durnez showed the skills that make him a real crowd pleaser as he, after 66 minutes, wove through the guests' entire central defence and put the 2 - 2 equaliser away. T. Lammela would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. M. de Almeida entered the game for Kalevan as the match clock showed 70 minutes. 72 minutes into the game, B. Rydzik almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. Good work by the Hätilän defensive line after 73 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found K. Rogenmoser alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide. As the 75 minute mark approached, the Kalevan coach decided it was time for a substitution. E. Torninoja reluctantly made way for N. Kakkinen on the pitch. D. Maia was the new captain of Kalevan - handed the armband by the departing player. 76 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Hätilän substitution. H. Jokijärvi came on for S. Kittilä. 78 minutes into the game, Hätilän wanted to bring some new energy to their game. M. Sandberg gave J. Pesä a quick hug as he left the field. 78 minutes into the game, H.
