previous 9/10 next 1/10  Kannelmäki 2 - 2 FC Tiko (385553942)

25000 spectators had come to Kannelmäen wembly this cloudy day. Ivan Tosenko was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Julius Järv and Emilian Matejek. Kannelmäki decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. The following players had been chosen: Cardoso - Ihalainen, Perämäki, Puurttinen, Pankkonen - Ledea, Håkansson, Acuña, Chammari - Löfman, Pintér.

FC Tiko started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. Starters: Masum - Sachser, Chiodarelli, Roett, Côté - Essel, Krinelke, Grotjahn, Bracek - Khuldi, Heerkes.

Kannelmäki were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. FC Tiko's Ž. Bracek made use of his speed to get free of the defence, but he still couldn't get a shot off 22 minutes into the match. Kannelmäki were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. Ž. Bracek was in the clear after breaking the offside trap following a FC Tiko counterattack from the left after 31 minutes. His neat finish made the score 0 - 1. 32 minutes in, Kannelmäki's W. Chammari received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. R. Côté was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so FC Tiko's R. van Gennep had to come off the bench. Kannelmäki's K. Ihalainen made a successful breakthrough on the left after 36 minutes and should have levelled the score, but instead he clipped it over the bar. In a rapid move 38 minutes into the match, Ž. Bracek of FC Tiko lost his man and passed the ball to the unmarked S. Heerkes who easily hit it home to make it 0 - 2. Luckily the ref didn't see him taunting the opposing fans in celebration - naughty boy! The players of FC Tiko now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. The home crowd was given a certain amount of consolation when T. Pankkonen scored after a brilliant midfield combination through the centre, reducing the lead to 1 - 2. Halftime score was 1 - 2. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by FC Tiko, with 51 percent of the ball.

Kannelmäki equalised after 56 minutes after a brilliantly placed penalty by T. Pankkonen. Kannelmäki's D. Acuña got himself booked for a foul. A. Sachser of FC Tiko received a yellow card after 71 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. A free kick aimed at the keeper's far post almost gave FC Tiko the lead 72 minutes in, but the ball just wasn't able to squirm its way through the defensive wall. FC Tiko enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 51 percent of possession.

The most dominating Kannelmäki player was without a doubt W. Chammari. A. Ledea turned in a dismal performance, however. Y. Grotjahn performed admirably for FC Tiko. A. Masum on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 2.
