vartti mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. vartti took the lead after 26 minutes making the score 0 - 1. V. Vasankari placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. After 28 minutes, vartti's P. Virkkonen burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 2. The players of vartti now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. P. Turku increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 3. 40 minutes into the game, vartti were awarded a penalty and P. Turku was able to increase the visitors' lead to 0 - 4 rolling the ball in by the right post. V. Vasankari of vartti took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 43 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 5. Halftime score was 0 - 5. vartti enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 78 percent of possession.

P. Virkkonen received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 55 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 6. The vartti fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. 56 minutes into the game, Siwa seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to inadequate. Some things can only be learned through experience, and V. Eskelin should take his lesson to heart after nearly gifting Siwa a goal with 63 minutes of the match played. vartti's L. Nupponen got himself booked for a foul. After 71 minutes vartti's V. Vasankari limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. vartti were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. After 74 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave H. Karu a chance to increase the lead for vartti, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 7. After 77 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for V. Vasankari who increased vartti's lead to 0 - 8. By then V. Vasankari had scored three goals - a hat trick! Possession in this half belonged to vartti, who controlled the ball 82 percent of the time.

Most important Siwa player was J. Hätinen. P. Kalliopuska on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating vartti player was without a doubt V. Vasankari. J. Kröger turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 8.
