Steuernparadies saw most attack opportunities on the wings. Steuernparadies had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. After 9 minutes, T. Onkalo came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 1 - 0, giving Steuernparadies the lead. After 25 minutes, E. Paju put Steuernparadies ahead 2 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. 32 minutes in, M. Valmari made an incredible run up the middle and nearly reduced the home side's lead, but W. Frega Natale refused to let the ball slip by him. It was obvious that Steuernparadies had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. After 35 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and T. Onkalo gave the Steuernparadies supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 3 - 0. Confident in their lead, Steuernparadies's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Steuernparadies's B. Bigalke increased the lead to 4 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 39 minutes. 4 - 0 was the halftime score. Steuernparadies enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.

T. Onkalo left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 50 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. J. Purala was the replacement. With 64 minutes having been played, his teammates looked on in disbelief as Ł. Badylec thoughtlessly misplayed the ball, setting up Steuernparadies's E. Paju for an easy goal. 5 - 0. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Steuernparadies scored another to make it 6 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for R. Eltze after 77 minutes. Attacking on the wings was the choice for Steuernparadies, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack. Steuernparadies managed to extend their lead to 7 - 0 when S. Pérez cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Steuernparadies coach let F. Demirel replace K. Hron after 80 minutes. There was concern in the stands when, at the 80 minute mark, FC ESA's J. Kotila hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. F. Saldaña had a couple of good opportunities to reply, but the home team's keeper W. Frega Natale was simply unbeatable. A free kick just outside of the visitors' penalty area after 82 minutes could have resulted in another goal, but J. Kenyon got a hand out and tipped the ball over the bar. With 83 minutes played, Steuernparadies put themselves up 8 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to F. Vandenbroucke, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. The coach of Steuernparadies was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 85 minutes, A. Granbacka came on for G. Formiga. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave V. Caldiran from FC ESA a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 87 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Steuernparadies, with 64 percent of the ball.

J. Muurinen performed admirably for Steuernparadies. W. Frega Natale was a disappointment, however. Most important FC ESA player was A. Koton. However, M. Valmari made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 8 - 0.
