previous 3/4 next 1/4  Mowgli 1 - 1 HAILLAN (385855132)

42510 spectators had found their way to Looping Arena, despite the heavy rain. Alfredo Minduim was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Bobby Joe Ludwig and Jorrit Elzinga. Mowgli decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. The following players had been chosen: Pellat - Neto, Hennion, Rahmati - Brunet, Saget, Théret, Mariette, Dubourg - Béchet, Wagner.

HAILLAN started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. Lineup: Jukelis - Pereyatynetc, Gresse, Bedoya, Orahovac - Puodžiulis, Jeunot, Delarche, Châtelain - Crăciun, Reynaud.

The boggy pitch disrupted the game, especially for technical players like C. Reynaud. 33 minutes had elapsed when a great chance for Mowgli to take the lead after a good cross from the right found J. Brunet alone with the keeper, but he chipped it to the wrong side of the post. D. Puodžiulis spent most of the time in a heap on the ground today, his normally rapid movement hindered by the slippery pitch. T. Pellat looked great 39 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors' A. Crăciun. Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 43 minutes into the match left HAILLAN's C. Reynaud completely free to score. 0 - 1 for the visitors. 0 - 1 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to Mowgli, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.

L. Wagner showed the skills that make him a real crowd pleaser as he, after 59 minutes, wove through the guests' entire central defence and put the 1 - 1 equaliser away. After 65 minutes, HAILLAN's C. Reynaud fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit! Mowgli made a bid to take the lead as a ball coming in on the right hand side left O. Béchet completely alone with keeper S. Jukelis, who made a spectacular block. HAILLAN's A. Crăciun was shown a yellow card after 73 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Mowgli, with 52 percent of the ball.

Mowgli's best player was L. Wagner. J. Brunet was a disappointment, however. Most important HAILLAN player was A. Crăciun. On the other hand, N. Châtelain's play was disheartening. The match ends 1 - 1.
