Clear skies welcomed the 50803 spectators who had made their way to Finsbury Leisure Centre. Olivier Vannier was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Eirik Norbye and Marcelo Ramos. Kancelarczyk had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 32 minutes having been played. L. Binetruy was the replacement. A lovely run by Viry-Châtillon's L. The keeper wasn't fooled however, and confidently scooped up the ball. After 42 minutes, P. Klintsjö sent the corner kick right to Y. Kim who headed it sharply past the keeper. 1 - 1! Angelis had a chance to take the lead after V. Sălăgeanu's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 44 minutes. The home side put themselves ahead 2 - 1 after 44 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from J. Tadin, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing. After 44 minutes Viry-Châtillon's Đ. Ramović contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. 2 - 1 was the score after the first half. Angelis had most of the ball, with 60 percent of possession.

Angelis's J. Lausecker had an excellent opportunity after 67 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! The visitors' equaliser seemed sure to come after 68 minutes, following a one on one situation around the left hand side of the goal area, but F. Thibodeaux got the best of it, blocking the shot from K. Šverma. Viry-Châtillon's right side looked dangerous 71 minutes in, but F. Thibodeaux made a good save on I. Morariu's hard shot to the top corner. 73 minutes in, Viry-Châtillon's V. Someda received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. In a fantastic display of determination, Angelis's J. Lausecker forced himself to his feet, after an opponent viciously knocked him down. Angelis increased the lead as L. Coûtant struck to make the score 3 - 1 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. The coach of Angelis was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 79 minutes, S. Dague came on for V. Sălăgeanu. The Angelis players could smell victory in the air. F. Thibodeaux wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for G. Beegden after 89 minutes. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Angelis coach let Y. Boukhiss replace J. Lausecker after 89 minutes. Angelis claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 58 percent.

The most dominating Angelis player was without a doubt Y. Boukhiss. On the other hand, S. Dague's play was disheartening. Viry-Châtillon's best player was V. Someda. L. Binetruy on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 3 - 1.
