The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 49158 had shown up at Fire Beasts Stadium for the match. Emílio Machado was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Sam Angel and Søren Margies. Villabona made it through the middle and struck home to make it 1 - 1. Beasts's C. Boó had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 35 minutes having been played. B. Courtin was the replacement. 36 minutes into the match and the home team took a 2 - 1 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for Beasts was V. Vian. Cheers filled the stadium as V. Vian broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 1 to Beasts. The bench was restless, and with 44 minutes passed Gribouille's coach gave L. Long Wen the opportunity the player had been hoping for. M. Menini reluctantly left the field. Halftime score was 3 - 1. Gribouille claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 56 percent.

The visitors' right side was dangerous today; P. Belinfante made the home team's keeper look foolish as he easily reduced the lead to make it 3 - 2 50 minutes into the match. B. Ohlah managed to make an excellent pass from the flank, but C. Isturiz was not as skillfull in scoring. Gribouille levelled the score after 61 minutes to make it 3 - 3, as I. Nikolai struck home after a fine midfield combination through the centre, which left him completely unmarked. 68 minutes into the game, P. Belinfante had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came P. Puente. Gribouille took the lead after 69 minutes making the score 3 - 4. B. Kandrač placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. The crowd roared in delight as V. Vian finished off a spectacular series of passes through the middle to even the score for Beasts 72 minutes into the match. 4 - 4. At that, V. Vian was noted down for a hat trick! It wasn't a pretty goal, but the free kick by D. Bommel after 73 minutes somehow found its way past the keeper. Beasts takes the lead, 5 - 4! J. Noffke of Beasts was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Gribouille needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 80 minutes A. Köhler made way for P. Pavard. Gribouille enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 55 percent of possession.

Beasts's best player was R. Eitorf. However, B. Courtin made a disastrous appearance. Most important Gribouille player was I. Nikolai. P. Puente on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 5 - 4.
