Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 48311 to Landévant Stadium. Wibo Vlamynck was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Asep Hariyanto and Ernesto Zanobi. Cheers filled the stadium as S. Le Lièvre broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 0 to Landévantais. It was 3 - 0 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to Landévantais, who controlled the ball 66 percent of the time.

The CHIMPUM players listened closely to their manager, as he gave new tactical instructions for the team. As the game started to slip away for CHIMPUM, the manager decided to change the tactical approach. After 46 minutes, CHIMPUM used a short break in the game to take new instructions from their coach. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let R. van der Veen slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 4 - 1, 56 minutes into the game. Landévantais's F. Michel got himself booked for a foul. CHIMPUM were forced into a substitution as F. Rhifi couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing İ. Seçmener to come in off the bench. Landévantais solidified their lead at the 64 minute mark, as M. Wolles dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 5 - 1. By now, the players in Landévantais felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. Landévantais put themselves up 6 - 1 when M. Wolles broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. By then M. Wolles had scored three goals - a hat trick! S. Le Lièvre unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. Landévantais claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 68 percent.

Landévantais's top performer was clearly S. Le Lièvre. However, M. Wolles made a disastrous appearance. CHIMPUM's best player was C. Divoux. İ. Seçmener was a disappointment, however. The match ends 6 - 1.
