42606 fans braved the pouring rain at l'Antre du Rebond. Brian Hall was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Danni Brosbøl and Son Tô. Rbond decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. The following players had been chosen: Leclerc - Guendouz, Retière, Maire - Rainieri, Bonté, Leleux, Ben Rejeb, Tanguy - Velut, Sautron.

JACKIES started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players took the field: Giso - Latvys, Tjalve, Nikolić - Gökçil, Håkonsen, Cochard, Berweger, Deleu - Kythreotis, Ruiz.

6 minutes had elapsed when a great chance for Rbond to take the lead after a good cross from the right found T. Maire alone with the keeper, but he chipped it to the wrong side of the post. JACKIES's O. Cochard was shown a yellow card after 18 minutes for slicing down an opponent. After a fine move down the middle G. Rainieri nearly gave the home side a goal after 23 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide. 35 minutes into the match and the home team took a 1 - 0 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for Rbond was T. Maire. D. Bonté unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. JACKIES bypassed the midfield with their counterattack, leading to a free kick goal by S. Gökçil for 1 - 1. 1 - 1 was the halftime score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Rbond, with 65 percent of the ball.

There was concern in the stands when, at the 62 minute mark, Rbond's B. Velut hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. Rbond took the lead 63 minutes into the game by 2 - 1, as G. Rainieri elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. G. Berweger of JACKIES seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 2 - 2 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by S. Gökçil. O. Cochard was struggling to make the ball dance with his usual trickery and panache, and the opposing players had little trouble shutting him down in these muddy conditions. Rbond fans held their breath as G. Rainieri scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 3 - 2! 83 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as P. Sautron broke through, making the score 4 - 2 for Rbond. The players of Rbond now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Rbond enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 65 percent of possession.

P. Sautron performed admirably for Rbond. G. Rainieri turned in a dismal performance, however. JACKIES's top performer was clearly A. Kythreotis. O. Cochard on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 4 - 2.
