(385895762)

07-07-2012 21.00
It had rained all day, but 24758 hardy fans still made it out to
JPT Stadium.
Erik Philosoph was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Martin Utter and
Toni Arroyo.
Jeep tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
The following players had been chosen: Léna - Henriksson, Valiente Negrón, Ensebaev - Desnos, Oskó, Surace, Lethuillier, Romualdi - Gailišs, Eads.
bigarrons decided to use a 4-3-3 set up.
Starters: Quiviger - Mashiach, Calmettes, Cavazza, Osinkin - Johnson, Stoffel, Soromenho - Hojnik, Ramalho, Eyþórsson.
Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of bigarrons.
S. Ensebaev did not have a good day today, often losing his footing on the muddy pitch.
34 minutes into the game, bigarrons had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to
inadequate.
bigarrons mounted an inspired counterattack down the right wing after 36 minutes, but
Ö. Eyþórsson was unable to convert from short range.
With 39 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 1 - 0 lead as
A. Romualdi flipped the ball in after a cross from the right.
Jeep's
A. Romualdi left the field after 41 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was
F. Chebli.
Cheers filled the stadium as
A. Eads broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 2 - 0 to Jeep.
The players of Jeep now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
2 - 0 was the score after the first half.
Jeep claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 66 percent.
A review of the gameplan helped bigarrons get back to a
solid organisation when the referee blew his whistle again.
With 48 minutes gone,
I. Hojnik suddenly found himself completely free on the right wing when a counterattack by bigarrons caught their opponents by surprise. Only a great save by the opposing keeper prevented him from scoring.
54 minutes into the game, bigarrons seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
passable.
A well-executed free kick by
L. Henriksson after 77 minutes made it 3 - 0 for Jeep.
Jeep's
A. Lethuillier was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 86 minutes.
After 88 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as bigarrons found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
weak.
After 89 minutes,
F. Surace put Jeep ahead 4 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing.
Jeep had most of the ball, with 65 percent of possession.
Jeep's best player was
A. Eads.
F. Chebli was a disappointment, however.
Most important bigarrons player was
Ö. Eyþórsson.
B. Quiviger turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 4 - 0.
