Riehl couldn't handle the ball and his feeble kick wound up in the keeper's arms. It was a hot and sunny day, and several players seemed worn out. Maybe this was why L. Seynhaeve found an unusual amount of space for his snappy footwork. M. Berger's lack of experience almost gave FCVlaanderen a goal after 28 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms. FCVlaanderen's right side looked dangerous after 65 minutes, as S. Sylla broke through. D. Lee continued to stifle them, however, as he made the save look easy. Emmel's B. Poulsen put in a disappointing effort on a penalty after 70 minutes, firing just wide of the goal. When J. Araújo Lopes made yet another studs-first tackle after 75 minutes, the referee was obliged to book the FCVlaanderen player for the second time, sending him off the pitch. T. Delalandre was handed the FCVlaanderen captain's armband. Emmel enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.

The most dominating Emmel player was without a doubt L. Seynhaeve. M. Berger was a disappointment, however. FCVlaanderen's best player was D. Clair. On the other hand, T. Delalandre's play was disheartening. The match ends 3 - 0.
