The 15388 spectators at l'Antre Kichoise were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Ignacio Patrickson was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Zdzisław Litkowiec and Etienne Marvel. RCP clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. With 8 minutes played, the excellent ball from the wing by RCP's D. Cho reached S. Dibo's head, and he is not one to miss such an opportunity - 0 - 1. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for RCP, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. After 21 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave M. Marchi a chance to increase the lead for RCP, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 2. The home crowd cheered when, after 29 minutes, M. Marchi's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. It was obvious that team RCP had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. After 30 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for S. Dibo who increased RCP's lead to 0 - 3. Halftime score was 0 - 3. RCP had most of the ball, with 67 percent of possession.

It wasn't a good day at all for J. Jaspart. His powerful style of play just didn't fit the bill on this warm day. A drive down the left side allowed M. Marchi to get in close and score another goal for RCP after 61 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 4. The players of RCP now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. R. Paoli enjoyed the sunshine and demonstrated his stunning technique over and over again. 64 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 5 as J. Jaspart finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. Fc kich's F. Criscito got himself booked for a foul. RCP were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. After 82 minutes, RCP's V. Sinnes burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 6. The visitors' T. Claesson took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 83 minutes into the match. 0 - 7 for RCP. RCP enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 68 percent of possession.

Most important Fc kich player was C. Duplinský. However, V. Neelov made a disastrous appearance. RCP's best player was S. Dibo. J. Thorstensson turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 7.
