(385911727)

21-07-2012 21.00
27877 punters turned up at
satillieu stadium, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came.
Mathias Gabelentz was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Sergio Santamaría and
Gernot Rüegg.
satillieu had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
Lineup: Eilken - Koburger, Kaplan, Siemieniuk - Coelho, Madaini, Canard, Kovács, Isely - Jedlikowski, Bouissou.
ASA decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
The following players took the field: Constantin - Ettis, Goulart, Asimakis - Savosin, Bladstedt, Violi, Fortes, Ambauen - Carmellini, Donadić.
satillieu tried to focus their attacks down the middle.
ASA seemed to prefer attacking in the middle.
The terraces were silenced after 4 minutes when ASA's
A. Carmellini put the guests ahead 0 - 1, following an attack on the right.
satillieu put pressure on the visitors' central defence 15 minutes into the game, but
S. Madaini couldn't find an opening.
ASA players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead.
R. Ettis of ASA took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 30 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 2.
At this point, it was obvious that the players of ASA lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
0 - 2 was the score after the first half.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by ASA, with 52 percent of the ball.
Given a free kick close to the byline, ASA tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let
B. Donadić slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 0 - 3, 56 minutes into the game.
satillieu reduced the lead to 1 - 3 with 57 minutes on the clock when
O. Bouissou got the best of a ball floated in from the left.
R. Siemieniuk did everything he could to get one back for his satillieu, but keeper
N. Constantin denied him with a spectacular block.
satillieu's
G. Kovács got himself booked for a foul.
ASA's
R. Ettis went down after a savage challenge, but could continue playing after some medical attention.
We may never know what
G. Kovács was thinking when he tried to pass the ball through a crowd of opponents. Luckily for him, ASA's
Q. Ambauen somehow missed the wide open net.
satillieu refused to be intimidated and, breaking through the middle,
N. Isely managed to slip the ball home for 2 - 3.
With 79 minutes played, satillieu's
O. Bouissou found an opening in the visitors' left side defence, but his shot was handled easily by the keeper.
After 80 minutes of play,
K. Jedlikowski evened things up for satillieu with an impressive goal coming up the middle. 3 - 3.
ASA claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.
Most important satillieu player was
K. Jedlikowski.
X. Canard on the other hand, had a terrible day.
ASA's top performer was clearly
A. Carmellini.
Q. Ambauen was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 3 - 3.
