Topos 0 - 1 PLANARDS
(385914824)

11-08-2012 21.00
Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 20870 at
Topos Urb team Arena today.
Charles Baines was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Kian Stroo and
Régis Bussy.
Topos had chosen a strategic 4-3-3 formation.
Starters: Sebők - Gladyshev, Gurtatowski, Hagedorn, Al-Sharif - Lassen, Bocage, Choisnet - Elg, Germanò, Häcker.
PLANARDS started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
Lineup: Feliniak - Piasecki, Pinkosz, Van Linden - De Almeida, Mocňák, Sønderkær, Czesiński, van Heuven - Sauser, Geerolf.
Topos were relying on their ability to counter-attack.
PLANARDS seemed to prefer attacking in the middle.
PLANARDS's
P. Sauser could have put the guests one up after 2 minutes after chasing a through ball from the right, but
A. Sebők was as fast as a snake, grabbing the ball from under his nose.
Many thought
J. Lassen ought to have been awarded a penalty 16 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around
L. Feliniak after a determined run through the middle.
R. Geerolf had a good try after 21 minutes, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide.
A. van Heuven had a good opportunity to give PLANARDS the lead as he charged down the right and struck the ball towards the top corner, but the home team's goalkeeper made the save.
24 minutes into the game Topos managed a counterattack, but
R. Germanò took a soft shot from the left flank that was easy prey for the alert keeper.
Making his way up the middle 37 minutes into the match,
B. Elg almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert
L. Feliniak blocked it to keep the score level.
PLANARDS took the lead after 39 minutes making the score 0 - 1.
B. Sønderkær placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left.
0 - 1 was the halftime score.
Possession in this half belonged to PLANARDS, who controlled the ball 53 percent of the time.
R. Mocňák could have put his team up another goal 51 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post.
Topos almost scored after a swift counterattack 62 minutes into the game, but
R. Germanò put the shot from the left flank just outside the goal.
It was obvious that team PLANARDS had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings.
After 70 minutes, Topos switched
M. Al-Sharif with
B. Reinegger, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch.
Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Topos's
B. Elg was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 75 minutes.
J. Inberg was given a chance to change things around.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by PLANARDS, with 59 percent of the ball.
J. Choisnet performed admirably for Topos.
However,
Y. Bocage made a disastrous appearance.
The most dominating PLANARDS player was without a doubt
W. Czesiński.
L. Feliniak turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 0 - 1.
